One Year of Peaches & Cream

About a year ago today, I was posting random pictures to my blog with no caption or purpose. My blog was called A Little Bit of Everything if some of you remember. Now, throughout the course of a year, my blog titled changed to Peaches & Cream. A lot has changed in a year with my blog! Besides my title, little changes to the blog, better posts, being on social media...it can make all the difference. I also read other blogs for guidance and because I love reading in general.

Thank you to everyone who has read my posts and hopefully gathered inspiration from them. I post to inspire and to show my audience the things I like! I cannot wait to see all of the changes we will go through next year together!

My Summer Shoes

During each season, I have a few pairs of shoes that I covet for the time being. Whether it's riding boots and booties for the fall to my UGG slippers in the winter, I truly have my go-to shoes. I am definitely more a clothes person than I am a shoe person, (sorry, shoe lovers.) Therefore, I go for shoes that are classics and that I can wear with anything. My mom has a great shoe selection so I just borrow from her since we are the same size.
Below I've picked a few of my classic, summer shoes!

{Chuck Taylor's}

I'm pretty sure converses have been around for a life time. I originally purchased these shoes for our trip to Italy because I wanted something that was comfortable and fashionable. I wear them a lot now because my job requires closed-toed shoes and of course, white goes with everything!

{Jack Rogers}

Ever since I got a Tumblr and started reading blogs, I saw these all over the place! I finally caved in a bought a pair. I will say, the Jack Rogers do take time to break in; also, order half a size up. I'm still breaking mine in! These are perfect for summer and even into the earlier days of fall!

{Tory Burch, the Reva Flat}

If I could ever work for a designer, it would be Tory Burch. Her classic, bohemian style exemplifies luxury and life through her travels. Not everyone likes flats, but I am a flats-person. The Reva flat goes with everything and can be worn in any season. They also require time to break in as well!

{Target}

I've been seeing embellished sandals a lot this season but I never wanted to pay $200 for a pair of shoes on a high school budget. I was shopping in Target one day and it was love at first sight. You can get the same look for SO much less (only $20). [similar shown below]

Here are the links for all of the shoes:

Memorial Day Outfit

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Today, as of everyday, I am thankful for all of those men and women in the armed services who have fought for our country and the privileges we have today!

I thought navy and white would be perfect colors for the occasion. I paired this top from Old Navy, similar here with white shorts from The Loft, similar here. My shoes are from Target, a similar pair here! My earrings are currently sold out, but they are from J. Crew factory and I wore them to prom!

Have a great day!

Life Lately

Today is officially my last day of junior year. I'm really happy to become a senior, but it's also bittersweet to realize this will be my last year of high school. It seriously has flown by. Everyone tells you that, but it's really true. I'm ready to tour colleges over the summer, work at my new job, spend time with friends, and be living in one of my favorite places for 3 weeks!

Honors Day with my friends, Catelyn and Chesney!

My sweet dad and I at my friends graduation party!

Congrats to my friend, Addie, (in the black dress), for graduating high school! I cannot wait to visit you at UGA! Go Dawgs!!

My aunt had her second boy last week, Mason. I am officially the oldest and only girl grandchild out of 5 boys!!

What have y'all been up to lately?

Graduation Outfit

Long time, no outfit post! I really am going to make it a priority to put more outfits on here. I love styling my outfits every single day and it's an important part of my life that I want to share with you all.

I thought it would be a neat idea to do my first ever graduation outfit post! Considering the end of the year is almost upon most of us, I decided to pair a white dress with a jean jacket and Jack Rogers. Simple and classic, but doesn't steal the attention away from your bestie's grad night!

Are y'all ready for summer?!

My Favorite iPhone 6 Cases

Who doesn't love a great phone case? iPhone owners know that while a naked iPhone is oh-so beautiful, scratches and shattered screens are not. That's why picking a case is so important. For me, I have a weird selection. My taste is evolving all the time, therefore, I am not content with just one case. I currently have a black, cheetah print, and pink and grey cases.  Simple, yet fun if I'm in the mood for a change. I've been loving all of these iPhone 6 cases! They are adorable, fun, and definitely a conversation starter. (My personal favorites are the pineapples, Karl and Anna, and the eyes!)

Which one is your favorite?

P.S. These cases are all under $50!

Final Exam/ AP Testing Tips

It's that time of year. Summer is in the midst and so are final exams! I'm taking one of my AP exams Friday and the other next Wednesday, so I apologize for short/ no posts in the next week. I'm almost done!
Nothing stresses me out more than an important test. Even the SAT is nerve-racking. I have a few tips on what helps me stay calm for finals, and hopefully they will help you too!

1. Relax
   It's a test. Yes, I know, important tests. But with AP exams, the world does not end if you don't pass! You just won't receive college credit, but remember that you challenged yourself to do the impossible- you should be proud!

2. Believe in YOURSELF
    This one is tough for me. I constantly doubt my abilities to perform well under pressure, even if I have practiced a million times before. Thank goodness my teachers do believe and reassure me that I am, for example, a strong writer and can perform well on essays.

3. Get lots of sleep
   I don't know about y'all, but bad things happen when I don't sleep. Like, bags, lines, pimples...all not fun. Plus, when I'm tired, I basically #can'teven. It's very important to give yourself plenty of sleep before exams. Cramming at the last minute can help some people, but don't sacrifice sleep for anything.

4. Reward Yourself
   Junior year has been the hardest academic year of my life, therefore, I am rewarding myself. Whether it's splurging on those shoes you have been eyeing or going to a museum, I believe everyone at the end of every year should have a mini-party for themselves. You deserve it!

5. Exercise
   Finals can be stressful. For me, running is my escape. If I know I will be up doing homework, I like to take a quick break and go for a jog. It keeps me awake and allows the information time to set in. Even doing a quick yoga pose can be beneficial.

Happy finals and best of luck!

Weekly Round Up

It's been a while since I've done one of these! I will try to do them more often when school won't be the main focus of my blog posts. I have some great stuff planned and a couple of surprises coming up I will announce when school is over! But for now..

{one}

I'm taking this lovely test this weekend for the third time and probably my last time. Most studies show that after three times of taking the SAT, your scores will not significantly raise higher. I still have plenty of opportunities with the ACT! I have to say, I am glad I started early with the college admissions tests. Most of my friends haven't even taken anything yet, and want to apply early admission for college. (eep.) But don't worry if you haven't started! Everyone approaches it differently. I know with AP exams, I wish I would have waited to take the SAT but it's okay.  Best of luck to everyone taking it this weekend!

{two}

Guess who finally joined the Jack Roger nation? Holaaaa. But I will say, I've been going on total freak out mode lately. The shoes were extremely tight on my feet, that I could barely get them to slide in. I was worried that I had gotten the wrong size or that the shoe was not going to fit me at all. After asking some fellow Tumblr people and classmates, they say that it takes a little while to break in. I got half a size up, like recommended. I am going to hope for the best and that they stretch out, but if push comes to shove, I will return them if need be. Beautifully handcrafted shoes!

xoxo!!
